Every Quest Pick in Islands of Adventure
Islands of Adventure mixes silly Seuss snacks, Hogsmeade platters and a few great bar drinks. These are all my Quest Picks, land by land.
Jurassic Park
- Zombie at The Watering Hole
Absinthe and two rums with falernum, pineapple, lime and grapefruit, finished with smoked sea salt. It's a strong one, so pace yourself.
Port of Entry
- Jalapeño Margarita at Backwater Bar
Patrón with triple sec and a house-made jalapeño lime mix, for anyone who likes a little heat in a margarita.
- Lost Explorer at Backwater Bar
A gin tiki drink with velvet falernum, lime, lemonade and a splash of Sprite. It's the lighter, fizzier choice at this Port of Entry bar.
- Cinnabon Classic Roll at Cinnabon
The original Cinnabon cinnamon roll, and handy if you want a sweet start right inside the gate.
- Ahi Tuna Nachos* at Confisco Grille
Sesame-seared ahi tuna over wonton chips with avocado, edamame and jalapeño, drizzled with sweet soy and wasabi aioli. It's a good starter to share.
- Sweet and Sour Sticky Ribs at Confisco Grille
Philippine-inspired smoked pork ribs in sweet and sour sauce, with jasmine rice and pickled daikon and carrots. Order these if you want something sweet, smoky and sticky.
Seuss Landing
- Green Eggs & Ham Tots at Green Eggs and Ham Cafe
Tater tots under green eggs, diced ham and white cheese sauce, the dish this stand is named for. Expect a line when it opens.
- Cheeseburger Tots at Green Eggs and Ham Cafe
Tots dressed like a bacon cheeseburger, with special sauce, cheese, pickles, red onion and tomato. Get these if you'd rather skip the green eggs.
- Frozen Sour Green Apple at Moose Juice, Goose Juice
The frozen sour green apple Goose Juice, one of the stand's two namesake drinks, and an easy way to cool down.
- Frozen Orange at Moose Juice, Goose Juice
The frozen orange Moose Juice, the other namesake slush. I'd grab one when Seuss Landing gets hot.
The Lost Continent
- Fork, Knife and Spoon Grilled Cheese at Mythos Restaurant
A three-cheese sandwich set in a bowl of tomato soup with crispy pork belly, plus chips. It's the dish to order at Mythos.
- Potion of the Gods at Mythos Restaurant
Coconut rum, orange liqueur and Bumbu with orange, cranberry and pineapple juices, topped with a float of hurricane-proof rum. It's a big, fruity drink to go with a sit-down meal.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Hogsmeade
- Rotisserie Smoked Chicken at Three Broomsticks
A rotisserie smoked chicken plate with corn on the cob and roasted potatoes. It's the main course to pick here.
- The Great Feast at Three Broomsticks
Smoked chicken, spareribs and a spread of sides on one platter that serves four. It's the order when the whole group wants to eat together in Hogsmeade.
Toon Lagoon
- Dagwood Sandwich Platter at Blondie's
Turkey, ham, roast beef, Swiss, pimento cheese and special sauce stacked on an onion poppy roll. It's the namesake sandwich at the 'Home of the Dagwood'.
- Wellington Cheeseburger at Wimpy's
A 7 oz. grilled Angus patty with cheddar and the classic toppings, and our burger pick in Toon Lagoon.
